January's scent is lavender, a versatile, powerhouse essential oil and one of the most popular scents in the world. Lavender essential oil is known to be analgesic, antidepressant, antiseptic, and antiviral and is also a bactericide, decongestant, deodorant, and fungicide. LAVENDER BATH BOMBS AND FOAMING BATH SALT JARS

LAVENDER ALUMINUM-FREE DEODORANT
Lavender is an ideal unisex scent and is also beneficial for those who feel most natural deodorants just don't work - lavender is naturally antimicrobial and helps keep body odors at bay by controlling odor-causing microbes. Our deodorant is aluminum free and is NOT an antiperspirant - conventional deodorants contain aluminum salts to temporarily block the sweat ducts to control sweating. We don't feel that blocking the sweat ducts is healthy or appropriate! Our deodorant contains a safe, non-toxic ingredient blend that is ours alone and helps to control odor-causing bacteria.
LAVENDER HAND AND BODY LOTION
Thick, creamy extra moisturizing Lavender Hand & Body Lotion leaves skin silky and nourished with organic oils and botanicals to feed and protect skin. No greasy after-feel. LAVENDER LAUNDRY PRODUCTS
Lavender laundry soap and starch-free Lavender ironing spray bring lavender loveliness into the laundry room! Ideal for sensitive skin. Add a few drops of lavender oil to our wool dryer balls in place of scented fabric softener sheets!
We carry Organic Lavender Essential and Organic Lavender Spike essential oils in 1/2 ounce dropper bottles. But what's the difference between the two, and how are they difference from Lavandin? All belong to the Botanical Family Lamiacea. Lavender's botanical name is Lavandula angustifolia and Lavender Spike's botanical name is Lavandula latifolia. Lavandin (botanical name Lavandula x intermedia) is a hybrid (as is indicated by the 'x' in its name), and was created in the 1920’s by crossing Lavandula angustifolia and Lavandula latifolia. The three oils have different chemical makeups, and lavender is the most expensive to produce of the three.
Lavender has the largest amount of esters which means that it will have the greatest degree of balancing, calming, cell regenerating, anti-inflammatory properties. It also has a significant amount of alcohols with antifungal, antiviral, strong bactericidal, balancing and immunostimulant properties.
Spike Lavender has a significant amount of oxides which bring antiviral, decongestant, mucolytic, immune stimulating and stimulant properties to the oil. (A 'Mucolytic' is a substance that aids in the clearance of mucus from the airways, lungs, bronchi, and trachea). It doesn’t have as much alcohol as Lavender so while it will share the antifungal, antiviral, strongly bactericidal, balancing, and immunostimulant properties, they are not present in the oil to the same degree.
As can be expected from a hybrid, Lavandin will have elements from both oils. Lavandin has the greatest amount of alcohols of the three which means that its antifungal, antiviral, strong bactericidal, balancing and immunostimulant properties are likely to be the strongest of the three too. It has esters like Lavender but not to quite the same degree so its balancing, calming, cell regenerating, and anti-inflammatory properties won’t be as strong.
